Bevill State Best Robotics Competition

The Pickens County Robotics Team competed in the Best Robotics competition at Bevill State Community College on October 27th. This particular team was the first to compete from Pickens County. The team consisted of eleven juniors and one senior from all four schools in the county. With the support of PCCCC, the students worked hard to successfully create a high performance robot to save the sea turtles and reduce trash in the ocean. This intended outcome was the theme of the competition. In addition to creating a robot, the team had to document the design process and give a marketing presentation about their robot. The students had a wonderful learning experience and look forward to next year's competition.
