My name is Shawn McDaniel, and it is my pleasure to be the Assistant Principal/ Biomedical Instructor of the Pickens County College and Career Center.I have spent the majority of my life in the Pickens County area, and currently live with my wife and two boys in Gordo.I attended college at Mississippi University for Women, where I earned a B.S. in Biology. Later, I attended University of West Alabama in Livingston, were I earned my M.S. in teaching Biological Science. After teaching for several years at Gordo High School, I returned to the University of West Alabama, where I earned my M.A. in Educational Leadership. Prior to coming to Career Center, I taught for 9 years at Gordo High School. During that time, I was privilege to coach softball and cross country, where I taught 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. I taught the majority of our senior science courses. I look forward to bringing my experience in the district, to Pickens County Career Center. I am excited to work with the students, staff, and the amazing community, who make Pickens County College and Career Center great school.
